The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise: Muslims, Christians and Jews Under Islamic Rule In Medieval Spain by Dario Fernandez-Morera was published in 2016 by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.

It presents an extremely convincing argument that the currently prevailing academic “wisdom” that medieval Spain under Islamic rule was a bastion of multicultural tolerance, intellectual and technological innovation, artistic achievement and civilization surrounded by a backward Europe which was intellectually, technologically and artistically stagnant in comparison is, as the titel suggests, a complete myth and fabrication. SPPIT.org considers this an excellent book and recommends it to our readers without hesitation or reservation.
